-Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. It is both an art and science and follows a systematic process.
-Project life cycle: initiating process Group, Executing process Group, Monitoring and Controlling process Group, and Closing Group.
-In cash there is a variance between the work planned and that being executed, there may be some initiation, planning, and/or execution correction / rework to be done; and hence, the feedback loops from monitoring and Controlling process group to the Initiating, planning, and Execution process groups.
-Although these five process groups seems to be distinct in nature, in reality, in a typical project life cycle and/or a larger/ complex phase of a project- based on the distinctiveness of the undertaken project- there may be some overlaps among these process groups
